My name is Chelsea Jolene. I currently live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, but I spent most of my life in a much smaller “city”, Fargo, ND.
I love all things floral and cupcakes. Barnes and Noble is my favorite place and I spend way too much time in lala land.
I am a dreamer, health foodie, and lover of all things simple, beautiful, and real.
I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I received my certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, based in New York City.
My training at IIN taught me a holistic approach to finding health. I studied from the world’s leading wellness, health, and nutrition experts. A few of my teachers included: Mark Hyman, MD, Andrew Weil, MD, Barry Sears, PhD, Deepak Chopra, MD, Gabrielle Bernstein, and Marion Nestle, PhD and so many more!! I learned over 100 dietary theories and emphasized the importance on psychological and emotional health.
So you might be thinking, “What exactly is a Health Coach?”
A health coach is like a personal trainer. We provide support to our clients to improve their health and happiness. We are knowledgeable advisors that help navigate through confusing and contradictory nutrition advice. We are mentors that help create lasting change. We are wellness leaders ready to end our current health crisis one person at a time!
Why did I decide to go into Health Coaching?
I have known since I was about 12 that I have wanted to own a business specifically hand-created by me. I love creating beautiful meaningful things and I love that having a business allows me to express myself in a variety of ways. Second, I love helping people. Nothing makes me happier then inspiring and motivating people to become their best. I want to helping others reach their goals and be their moral support. Third, I have always loved food. I view food as art, culture, and happiness. What is better then cooking a hot nourishing soup and sharing it with all your family and friends? I want to share the beauty and happiness with everyone and it always makes me smile to surprise someone with some warm baked goods or a clean healthy satisfying dish. Together these 3 things create my ideal job of becoming a health coach.
I believe that the first steps towards becoming your best is positive nutritional habits that compliment the body and mind. True health involves much more then just eating healthy. It is about being satisfied in every area of your life. There are many different pieces of your life and all together they fit to create optimal health.
My mission is to offer my readers and clients the knowledge and motivation to actively change their life and learn how to maximize their true potential.
